LCOY Nepal 2021, organized by CliMates Nepal in collaboration with the Youth Thinkers Society and Nepalese Youth for Climate Action, took place for two days via the online Zoom platform. The primary target of the LCOY Nepal was to empower the youth and help them identify and solve their local issues affected by climate change.

The mission of this event was to encourage youth leadership to influence intergenerational conversations about climate change, to understand climate change as an intersectional issue and to create interorganisational collaborations to tackle climate change. We wanted youth to see the problem through the lens of hope and the feeling that they can make a difference, instead of dread and anxiety.
